There’s always so much stuff on websites. If we were to include everything people asked for in the nav, we’d quickly run out of space.  It also make it that little bit harder for users to find the right content.

What’s an IA to do? Answer: Mega dropdowns!

Mega-dropdowns are just like regular dropdowns but better.  By using layout, typography and icons we can make the task of finding the right link that little bit easier.

Jacob Nielsen has done some great research on the effectiveness of Mega Drop-downs. Verdict? They work well!
